My sister and I made another photo and text book, about a lunch party on the brick patio behind the house. The first page was a properly filled-out invitation, my mother’s inspired addition of social education to our games.

My sister played every person at the lunch party, and I took the photos. It was a spoof, from the overly vivacious guest to the bored host to the alcoholic help. As before, there were narrative file cards written by my mother on the left page paired with photos on the right.
